Week 1 Marina di Ragusa
Week 1 – May 22-28th Marina Di Ragusa
Fine weather all week – very frustrating
Left Auckland Sunday arrived in Rome for Night Monday,
Landed Catania Sicily Tuesday, picked up rental car 1. Nisson Justy – from Sicily by Car and drove to Marine di Ragusa(MdR). Checked in at apartment on via Vasco de Gama. Close to centre of town and very helpful owner – Carmelo. Better inside than out and ours was up the stairs and the window on the left( right of Hew). Carmelo was very helpful and as our stay lengthened he continually added to our time then found new accommodation for us.
Visited boat – nothing done since Hew left – well minimal, about a half mornings work.
Rest of week promises, promises – a lot of boats in line as weather had been bad. As to the work that was not weather dependent we were told it was all small jobs and could be done after the main job so nothing was done
Area around MdR is very rural and fields covered in large round hay bales, no animals to be seen but apparently they are all indoors in the summer.
